TCR is part of the development platform of CrowHoldings, a privately owned real estate investment and development firm withover75years of history, $34billion of assets under management, and an established platform with a vision for continued success.For more information, please visit.Position Summary The Director of Risk Management supports the execution of TCR’s risk management and insurance strategy, working closely with the Senior Director of Risk Management to ensure effective risk mitigation across development, construction, and operational activities. This role is primarily focused on insurance program strategy, procurement, carrier and broker management, loss control, insurance compliance, and surety oversight. The Director will also directly manage the Claims Manager. This role is based in our Dallas office.Primary ResponsibilitiesSupport the execution and administration of the company’s risk management and insurance strategy across business operations, including loss prevention and safety initiativesPartner with development, construction, and operations teams to assess project-level risks and loss prevention measures, and ensure compliance with insurance and bonding requirementsLead enterprise-wide insurance procurement, market strategy, carrier selection, and renewal negotiationsServe as the primary relationship manager for insurance brokers and carriers alongside the Senior Director, coordinating program performance, coverage enhancements, and market initiativesOversee the administration of insurance programs, including policy implementation, exposure tracking, underwriting submissions, and coordination of renewal activitiesSupport the strategic oversight and administration of the company’s surety bonding programOversee the maintenance of property schedules, exposure data, and COPE data to support underwriting, renewals, and risk analysisManage insurance compliance processes, including contract review and ensuring third-party adherence to contractual insurance requirementsDrive loss control initiatives and partner with the Claims Manager to analyze loss trends and reduce claim frequency and severityProvide guidance to internal stakeholders on risk mitigation, loss prevention, safety best practices, and insurance requirementsOversee insurance-related financial processes, including premium allocations, internal billing, and cost managementAssist in identifying emerging risks and implementing policies, procedures, and controls to strengthen the organization’s overall risk management strategy, including coordination with Legal on insurance, contractual risk transfer, and corporate legal structure mattersDesired Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field10+ years of progressive experience in risk management, preferably within real estate development or constructionCPCU & ARM designationsDemonstrated experience administering complex insurance programs and working with carriers and brokersStrong understanding of construction, development, and property operations risk exposuresExceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skillsStrong analytical and strategic thinking capabilitiesJob SummaryRequisition Number: DIREC Job Category: Legal/ComplianceSchedule: Full-Time
