We are looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team at our standalone Quick Lane location.

Don't let the Quick Lane name fool you this is a full-service automotive repair facility, not just an oil-change and maintenance shop. Our technicians perform a wide range of maintenance, diagnostic, and repair work, and we're looking for a skilled technician who wants to be part of a busy, established shop with a great team.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality maintenance and repairs according to repair orders and manufacturer specifications
• Diagnose vehicle concerns using diagnostic tools and electronic test equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including mechanical, electrical, steering, suspension, brake, and drivability concerns
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems as needed
• Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding diagnostic findings and any additional recommended repairs
• Provide accurate estimates of the time needed to complete additional repairs
• Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Work as part of a team committed to quality repairs and excellent customer service

Requirements

• Automotive technician experience required; 2+ years preferred
• Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
• Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of automotive systems
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new technology and diagnostic systems
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Virginia State Inspection license is a plus, but not required. Candidates with strong automotive experience who are interested in obtaining their Virginia State Inspection certification are encouraged to apply.
