Tuition Reimbursement Plan Other voluntary plans are available to support you and your familyCareer growth opportunities in a supportive environmentWhat Youll DoThis position is responsible for the duties of a Medical Assistant, assisting the front desk as well as performing phlebotomy.Medical Assistant-Primary TasksPerforms medical intake procedures including vital signs and history.Performs complete patient evaluation and assessment.Records and reports on symptoms, reactions, treatments and changes in patients conditions.Performs immunizations as directed by the physician.Practice safe phlebotomy skills using standard precautionsFront Desk-Primary TasksPractice CAN Community Healths mission, vision, and valuesGreet and assist patients with a high level of professionalism and confidentialityAccurately collect, process and post patient payments, including co-pays, deductibles and outstanding balance.Verify and updated patient insurance information and eligibility during check-inSchedule and confirm patient appointments, managing any necessary follow-up for missing documentationPhlebotomy TasksPerform venipuncture and fingerstick on all patients as orderedIdentify patients using two unique identifiers and verify test orders prior to specimen collection.Prepare collection sites using aseptic technique and select appropriate collection equipment.Label specimens accurately at the point of collection.Process, centrifuge, and prepare specimens for transport or analysis according to laboratory protocols.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of an employee for this job. CPR certification required1+ years of experience in a clinical setting preferredBilingual (English/Spanish) is a plusMust be able to operate a motor vehicle and have valid insurance and drivers license.Must be able to pass a Level I and Level II Background check as required.
