Registered Polysomnographic Technician

Memorial Hospital at Belleville is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT) to join our team. The role involves assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. Work Hours: Full-Time, 4 nights per week (rotating), 7pm-5:30am. Required Certifications Registered Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT) certification Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Overview Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services plus critical and emergency care. The Sleep Disorders Center conducts sleep tests on an outpatient basis under the supervision of a registered polysomnographic technician. Role Purpose Provide therapeutic, diagnostic, and assessment-related responsibilities within the Sleep Lab department, ensuring quality clinical outcomes in sleep testing procedures and contributing to the education and competency of PSG technician trainees. Responsibilities Apply electrodes and sensors to patients, prepare, calibrate, and maintain equipment, perform positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fittings. Perform sleep studies, initiate and maintain therapy modes. Recognize and manage various respiratory conditions. Score sleep and wake stages and clinical events. Generate reports and transfer data to appropriate media.
