Role Overview: A Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography (CT) performs a variety of technical procedures to assist in diagnosis and treatment, ensuring safe and high-quality imaging. They set up equipment, position patients, and execute advanced protocols such as TAVR and Cardiac CTA independently. The role includes mentoring colleagues, overseeing department operations in absence of leadership, and providing exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities Verify orders, obtain clinical history, and assess contraindications. Administer contrast media safely, confirm patient identity, and ensure accurate labeling. Review images for diagnostic quality, respond to emergencies, and monitor patient conditions. Perform and post-process advanced CT protocols; maintain sterile techniques and equipment. Ensure compliance with safety standards, proper documentation, and quality control. Manage departmental workflow, supplies, and support regulatory readiness. Mentor staff, participate in process improvements, and support hiring and onboarding. Communicate effectively with patients and staff, explaining procedures to reduce anxiety. Qualifications & Skills Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R) and CT (ARRT-CT) certifications. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum 2 years clinical experience, including 1 year in CT. Excellent communication, customer service, and teamwork skills. Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, radiation safety, and quality control. Ability to operate CT equipment, perform advanced protocols, and mentor others.
