As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Wed 07:30 AM - 03:30 PM

Thur 07:30 AM - 03:30 PM

Sat 03:30 PM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or service providers at a shelter location while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed, and maintain awareness of activity within assigned areas.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Prepare accurate reports and logs for patrol activity, incidents, observations, and security-related occurrences in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
