Job Title: Mechanic/Mechanical Technician

Location: Midland, TX 79706

Duration: 06 Months with possible extension unless funding issues change (Estimated Start Date: 19-Oct-2026; Estimated End Date: 18-Apr-2027)

Shift/Hours:

• Rotation: 15 days on / 06 days off

• Shift Length: 12-hour shifts, rotating between day and night

PR Range: $25/hr - $35/hr on W2 without benefits

• Conducting preventive maintenance on various types of trailers and tractors.

• Diagnosing electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical deficiencies using diagnostic tools.

• Conducting road calls in a provided facility vehicle.

Job Description:

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of equipment as per operational demands. The Mechanical Technician improves the maintenance-related nonproductive time ratio of the Product Line's assets within the Maintenance Base (MB), and improves maintenance efficiency and people productivity.

* Maintain assigned equipment according to the pertinent maintenance program and in compliance with the reliability-centred maintenance strategy through adherence to the Computerized Maintenance Management System and standard work.

* Adhere to transactional discipline within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems to record materials and supplies, labor costs and equipment maintenance performance history such as movements, work orders, parts used and time to maintain.

* Comply with TLM Product Line standards.

* Participate in the continuous improvement culture, initiatives and improvement plans within the MB to improve asset utilization and cost of service delivery (CoSD).

* Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve asset turnaround time, which includes reducing downtime due to maintenance, parts and repair authorization numbers, failures and work-in-process.

* Support continuous improvement efforts to improve the efficiency and productivity of Maintenance Technicians.

* Implement CoSD projects, such as the planned repair and reuse of parts.

* Participate in failure investigations as assigned.

* Comply with the TLM Competency Management System.

Experience and Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in tractor and trailer maintenance required.

• Preferred 2 years of oil & gas industry experience.

• Working on Cement pumps, Peterbilt tractors, Air Slide, and Bulk trailers.

• Should be familiar with CAT ET, Cummins Insight, Davie Software, Service Ranger software, HVAC preferred.
