What You'll Be Doing

As a Quality Inspector / Quality Technician, you'll help ensure products meet customer requirements and company quality standards before they leave the facility.

• Perform in-process and final inspections on fabricated metal parts and assemblies.

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work orders.

• Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures .

• Verify dimensions, tolerances, weld quality, and overall workmanship.

• Identify defects and communicate findings to production teams.

• Maintain accurate inspection reports and quality documentation.

• Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives throughout the shop.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• At least 1 year of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to work independently and make sound inspection decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in sheet metal, custom fabrication, structural steel, or CNC machining environments.

• Knowledge of Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), or First Article Inspection (FAI).

• Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).

• Welding inspection experience.

• Manufacturing quality documentation experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin Park, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
