Position Overview:

The Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing accounting operations across multiple business units and regions. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting operational leadership with financial insights. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership capabilities, a process improvement and automation mindset, and experience operating within complex, multi-entity or multi-location environments.

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 Days In-Office)

Base Salary: $130k - $150k

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities and operational regions.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Analyze financial results, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Partner with operational and finance leadership to provide actionable financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
• Oversee general ledger activities, approve journal entries, and review account reconciliations.
• Supervise and improve close efficiency, accuracy, and overall accounting operations.
• Ensure proper accrual basis accounting and adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
• Streamline month-end close processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive accounting process improvements and automation efforts across the organization.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across ERP and financial reporting systems.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members across multiple locations or business units.
• Establish performance goals, conduct evaluations, and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years of accounting leadership or people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience overseeing month-end close and multi-entity accounting operations.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Experience driving accounting transformation, process improvement, and automation initiatives.
• Experience supporting accounting integration activities related to acquisitions or newly integrated business units.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and business partnering abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, locations, and deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
