Hospice Registered Nurse – Home Health Hospice

Schedule: Shift: 10 hours, Days Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (12 hours)

Assignment Details: Contract Length: 4 weeks Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements: AHA BLS certification required Minimum of 3 years of prior community hospice experience EPIC experience within the past 2 years required Excellent typing skills for narrative-heavy EMR

Roles & Responsibilities: Provide compassionate end-of-life care and symptom management for terminally ill patients. Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with patients and families. Administer medications through various routes and perform skilled nursing procedures as necessary. Educate patients and caregivers on aspects of end-of-life care and facilitate goals of care discussions. Ensure adherence to treatment protocols and documentation standards within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

Compliance / Notes: Dress Code: Business casual or non-institutional scrubs in non-hospital colors, with supportive closed-toe shoes. Limited jewelry and neat hair/beard required. Orientation: 2-3 days of onboarding training, including familiarization with the documentation system. Reliable transportation is required; public transportation is not accessible.
