Investment Banking Associate | TMT Coverage

Our firm is working with a prominent Full‑Service Global Investment Bank’s SF office, looking to bring an Investment Banking Associate in to join their high‑performing TMT team. The SF office is home to several TMT sub‑sector heads and is one of the firm’s keystone locations. The platform has a strong culture of amicable, sharp, and diverse individuals with a track record of high all‑in pay, having had very strong bonuses this past year, surpassing most BBs across all levels. Ideal candidates are current Investment Banking Associates with strong M&A and Capital Markets experience; TMT experience is preferred but not required. Responsibilities Transaction Execution Support the execution of M&A advisory, IPOs, and private/public financing transactions Build and review detailed financial models (DCF, LBO, merger models, trading & transaction comps) Lead the preparation of client presentations, pitch materials, and CIMs Coordinate due diligence processes , including data‑room management and third‑party engagement Analyze complex financial and operating data to support transaction structuring and valuation Coverage & Strategic Advisory Conduct in‑depth industry and company research across TMT subsectors Assist in developing strategic advisory recommendations for corporate and sponsor clients Support senior bankers in client relationship management and ongoing coverage efforts Monitor sector trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes to inform client advice Team Leadership & Project Management Oversee and mentor analysts, ensuring accuracy and quality of deliverables Manage multiple workstreams across concurrent transactions and deadlines Act as a key liaison between junior team members and senior leadership, ensuring seamless execution Qualifications 4‑5 years of M&A / Capital Markets Investment Banking experience 1‑2 years of post‑MBA M&A / Capital Markets Investment Banking experience Experience building financial models, valuations, pitchbooks, CIMs, etc. Strong accounting skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Experience mentoring & directing juniors Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with high‑level clients If interested in this appealing role within a high‑caliber platform, apply directly and we’ll be in touch ASAP to share more info! #J-18808-Ljbffr Selby Jennings
