Make a difference in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher for a full-time, contract role near Yreka, CA. This position offers you the chance to collaborate with a supportive school staff in delivering exceptional educational experiences for students with diverse learning needs. Work within an RSP (Resource Specialist Program) setting where your expertise in individualized instruction will have a meaningful impact.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential for California
- Experience working within an RSP or similar resource program highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students according to their IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers and school support staff
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to accommodate a range of learning needs
- Monitor student progress, maintaining accurate assessments and records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations for student development
- Communicate regularly with families to encourage student success
