Territory Manager

Location: Assigned Territory (Field-Based) Reports To: Head of Dealer Partnerships About Bidbus Bidbus is a fast-growing automotive marketplace that connects dealerships with private sellers through a live digital auction platform. We’re expanding into new markets and are looking for an experienced automotive professional to help grow dealer participation within an assigned territory. Position Summary The Territory Manager is responsible for developing dealership relationships, onboarding new dealer partners, and driving active use of the Bidbus platform. This is a field-based role, spending most of the week visiting dealerships, demonstrating the platform, and growing both new and existing dealer accounts. Success isn’t measured by registrations alone—it’s measured by active dealerships that consistently buy and sell through Bidbus. Key Responsibilities Build Dealer Relationships Develop relationships with Used Car Managers, Buyers, Inventory Managers, General Sales Managers, and other dealership personnel. Maintain a consistent in-person presence throughout the assigned territory. Understand each dealership’s inventory strategy and identify opportunities to grow Bidbus usage. Introduce senior leadership when opportunities involve General Managers, Dealer Principals, or dealer groups. Prospect and onboard new dealership partners. Conduct platform demonstrations and train dealership personnel. Help new dealers complete their first successful transactions. Increase buyer and seller participation within existing accounts. Re‑engage inactive dealerships and remove barriers to participation. Partner with internal teams to ensure an outstanding dealer experience. Grow the Territory Develop new business through dealership visits, referrals, networking, and prospecting. Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate CRM records. Achieve goals for dealership visits, activations, active accounts, and transaction growth. Represent Bidbus professionally throughout the territory. Qualifications Required 3+ years of automotive retail, wholesale, auction, automotive technology, or dealership-facing sales experience. Strong understanding of dealership operations and used vehicle acquisition. Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills. Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently. Willingness to spend the majority of the week visiting dealerships. Valid driver’s license. Preferred Experience as a Used Car Manager, Buyer, Inventory Manager, Sales Manager, General Sales Manager, auction representative, or dealership account manager. Existing dealership relationships within the assigned market are a plus.
