Qualifications

• Current Partner/Principal, Senior Manager, or Director aiming to advance to, and possessing the expertise to be, a Principal of a Leading 50 Accounting Firm.
• Effective communication skills and leadership qualities
• Familiarity with different financial software
• Proficient time management abilities and capability to collaborate efficiently with internal teams and clients.
• EA or advanced law degree necessary.
• Demonstrated skill and experience in business growth

Duties

• Take full ownership of all client engagements, staffing assignments and workflow within your team. This includes reviewing and approving all work before client submission.
• Demonstrate the highest level of technical and professional skill. Exhibit the ability to analyze financial data and draw logical conclusions. Display the capability to make prudent business decisions.
• Maintain open communication with all firm members to ensure client needs are met and staff are utilized effectively.
• Assume overall responsibility for all staff under your supervision, including managing the bi-annual performance evaluation process.
• Generate client invoices and oversee collection of payments.
• Develop strategies and protocols to boost productivity and revenue without impacting team morale or motivation.
• Be prepared to travel to client sites with necessary documents and equipment for work as required.
• Adhere to firm procedures and comply with firm policies detailed in the Human Resource Manual.
• Enhance existing client connections and actively seek to develop new relationships with potential clients and referral sources.
• Promote the firm through speaking engagements, community involvement, and participation in professional, civic, and business activities. Possess knowledge of all services offered by the firm.
• Show dedication to the firm throughout your career.
• Participate in marketing and business development training programs.
• Establish positive rapport with clients during phone conversations. Build recognition with clients and their staff.
• Engage with at least one community, civic, business, or trade organization.
• Take part in firm activities such as training and recruitment efforts.
• Gain familiarity with clients' industries and key personnel.
• Promote the firm while on client premises and in the community.
• Identify areas of potential service expansion while at client locations.
• Include staff in meetings with prospective clients.
• Identify and cultivate areas of expertise.
• Develop relationships with client personnel at various levels. Show interest in their businesses, interests, and families.
• Connect with at least two clients per month, or a minimum of twelve calls annually, to stay connected, identify areas for improvement in service, and address any concerns over lunch.
• Participate in external committee activities.
• Cultivate relationships with bankers and attorneys externally.
• Deepen understanding of key client industries, seek opportunities, engage with industry organizations, and create a pool of potential clients.
• Cultivate close relationships with key client personnel across all levels.
• Achieve leadership roles in committees. Enhance your personal brand as you grow the firm's.
• Bolster interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Enhance marketing, communication, and sales abilities.
• Attend marketing and business development workshops.
• Develop and maintain referral networks.

• Network with other principals, refer business, and endorse each other's expertise.
• Guide staff in building client relationships and selling services.
• Invite staff to networking events, client meetings, and referral gatherings.
