McKenney Home Care is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Supervisor to support our Venice office serving Sarasota and Charlotte County. This position is ideal for an RN who enjoys clinical oversight, client assessments, caregiver support, care planning, and working both independently and collaboratively in a private-duty home care environment.

Schedule and Training

This is a PRN position following completion of training. The ongoing PRN schedule will be discussed with the ADON during the in-person interview based on clinical needs and candidate availability.

Training:

• 3 days per week for 2 weeks
• 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Position Pay

• Starting pay: $40–$42 per hour , based on experience and qualifications
• Opportunity for a 90-day performance and compensation reevaluation

On-Call Rotation

• Participation in the nurse on-call rotation approximately once every 3–4 weeks
• On-call incentive: $400 per assigned on-call week
• On-call responsibilities may include after-hours clinical questions, client or caregiver concerns, changes in condition, care coordination needs, and communication with the office team

Position Overview

The PRN RN Clinical Supervisor provides clinical support, oversight, and documentation for private-duty home care clients. Responsibilities include assessments, reassessments, supervisory visits, care plan updates, caregiver guidance, and communication with clients, families, caregivers, physicians, and office staff.

This role requires strong clinical judgment, quick critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and a high level of comfort with computers, electronic documentation, and agency software systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete client assessments, reassessments, supervisory visits, and care plan reviews
• Update and maintain accurate client care plans based on client needs and agency requirements
• Provide clinical guidance and support to caregivers
• Communicate professionally with clients, families, caregivers, physicians, and office staff
• Identify changes in condition, safety concerns, care plan needs, and caregiver training opportunities
• Complete timely and accurate electronic documentation
• Assist with quality assurance, chart reviews, and clinical compliance
• Support safe, consistent, and compassionate care delivery in the home
• Respond appropriately to clinical concerns during assigned on-call rotations
• Collaborate with Scheduling, HR, Marketing, and leadership to support client care needs
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client, caregiver, and agency matters

Qualifications

• Active Florida Registered Nurse license required
• Hospital, private-duty home care, home health, hospice, or skilled nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and sound nursing judgment
• Ability to think quickly, problem-solve, and respond appropriately to changing client needs
• Strong computer skills and comfort with electronic documentation systems
• WellSky/ClearCare or similar software experience preferred, but not required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Professional, dependable, adaptable, and coachable
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
• Current hands-on CPR certification
• TB screening within the last 6 months or chest X-ray for TB within the last 5 years
