Light Automotive Mechanic - Team Lead

Irving, TX (Regent Blvd) Pay Rate: $25 per hour Schedule: 1st shift Monday-Friday 7am 4pm
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as lead for shop team.
- Perform light maintenance on vehicles.
- Check in and look for damage on newly delivered vehicles. Update eGAMS (Nissan Fleet Management System Appropriately) Follow protocol for approvals/rejections.
- Maintain the CV facilities working area to keep it clean and orderly.
- Perform Vehicle Detailing (wash and vacuum) and general clean up.
- Perform all aspects of a PDI for both Nissan and Infiniti vehicles. Each PDI must be done according to respective inspection standards and properly noted in eGAMS.
- Attend training as required to learn about new PDI or other related processes.
- Utilize a Consult system as needed for recalls or as part of the PDI process.
- Ensure vehicles are processed for auction and transported to locations as necessary.
- Provide great customer service for employees/retirees when in the shop for service and other maintenance related items.
- Order and inventory parts for the shop. Work with oil and chemical suppliers to keep inventory filled.
- Enter maintenance claims into the DBS system.
- Serve as backup to office staff handling turn-in inspections and vehicle delivery as needed.
- Performs other related duties of which the above are representative as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications The following qualification statements reflect the minimum skills and abilities required of the qualified applicant.
Job Knowledge and Skills: Proven experience in an automotive environment (e.g. dealership, Lube Oil Filter shop. Appropriate time management, customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact with both employees/retirees as well as vendors.Experience: 3+ years of related experience in the LOF, PDI fields. ASE certification is a plus.Education: High School Diploma or GED.Other: Valid driver's licenseMust pass an MVR driving screen
