As a global company, we have offices in nine countries and can insert advertisements around the world.Job SummaryThe Manager, Commercial Initiatives serves as the key liaison between FreeWheel's Commercial, Product, and Operations organizations, ensuring product investments align with customer needs and business priorities. Reporting to the Director, Commercial Initiatives on the FreeWheel Strategy team, you will own the commercial prioritization process, partnering across Revenue, Partnerships, Product, Operations, and Strategy to evaluate investment opportunities, develop business cases, and facilitate prioritization decisions. You'll help drive cross-functional alignment throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring teams remain focused on the highest-impact initiatives while continuously improving the processes that support planning and execution.Job DescriptionResponsibilities:Manage FreeWheel's commercial product prioritization process, partnering across Revenue, Product, Operations, and Strategy teams. Consolidate product and operational investment requests from commercial stakeholders into a centralized intake process. Analyze business opportunities and develop data-driven business cases to support prioritization decisions. Facilitate cross-functional prioritization discussions, helping stakeholders align on investment tradeoffs and business impact.Partner with Product, Operations, and Commercial leadership to ensure prioritization decisions are communicated clearly and executed effectively. Track high-priority initiatives throughout the development lifecycle, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and opportunities for alignment. Continuously improve prioritization, intake, and planning processes to increase transparency, consistency, and operational efficiency. Develop a strong understanding of FreeWheel's products, customers, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to inform recommendations. Build trusted relationships across Commercial, Product, Engineering, Operations, and Strategy teams to drive collaboration and influence without direct authority. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications 6+ years of experience in Strategy, Operations, Program Management, Consulting, or a related cross-functional role, with experience in the advertising technology industry strongly preferred. Experience driving cross-functional planning, prioritization, or portfolio management processes across multiple stakeholder groups. Strong business acumen with the ability to evaluate tradeoffs and develop data-driven business cases that influence investment decisions. Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to align on priorities and execute against shared goals. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leaders and executive stakeholders. Proven ability to influence without direct authority and build trusted relationships across diverse teams. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and bringing structure to complex, evolving business problems. Familiarity with product management tools such as Aha!, Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
