Part-Time Activity Assistant

CareCore at Meadows is looking for an energetic, dependable, and compassionate Part-Time Activity Assistant to join our team! This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with seniors, bringing people together, and helping create a fun and engaging environment for our residents.

As an Activity Assistant, you will work alongside our Activities team to plan and lead programs that promote socialization, engagement, and overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and leading group and individual resident activities
• Encourage resident participation in activities and events
• Help with games, crafts, music, social events, holiday celebrations, and other programs
• Assist with setting up and cleaning up activity areas
• Spend one-on-one time with residents who may not participate in group activities
• Help maintain activity supplies and materials
• Work collaboratively with nursing and other departments to support resident needs
• Provide a positive, welcoming, and engaging experience for residents

Qualifications

• Must be dependable, friendly, patient, and enthusiastic
• Enjoy working with seniors and individuals with varying levels of ability
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous activities, recreation, senior living, or long-term care experience preferred
• Must be available for a flexible part-time schedule, including some weekends and holidays as needed
