Tax Accountant Opportunity Soraban is building an AI tax workflow automation software for modern accounting firms. Our platform helps accounting firms automate client intake, document processing, tax preparation workflows, and service delivery. We are looking for a tax accountant who: is tired of going through tax seasons every year trying to maximize billing hours. is excited to redefine the modern tax engagement. This role will start out by helping us improve our product experience via working with our ambitious product team. This will involve some combination of responsibilities (but not limited to), training our proprietary AI model, providing product feedback, and doing R&D work with tax workflows as we scale to serve more types of accounting firms. Requirements The ideal candidate should have a strong background in tax preparation within mid-market or large tax accounting firms (50+ employees), and a deep understanding of the entire tax filing lifecycle, including: Client onboarding and data collection Document handling and review Tax preparation and review workflows Delivery of returns to clients Filing with federal and state tax authorities What You'll Own and Drive End-to-End Flow Testing: Test the entire workflow including client intake, data collection, document handling, preparation, review, delivery, and filing. Scenario Simulation: Simulate real-world scenarios based on actual work performed inside mid-market or large tax firms based on your experience Gap and Edge Case Identification: Identify workflow conflicts, inefficiencies, missing steps, and areas where the system does not align with real firm processes. Structured Feedback and Documentation: Provide detailed, actionable feedback to improve usability, accuracy, and workflow alignment with real firms. Document findings clearly and concisely. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Hands‑on experience with CCH Axcess or ProSystem fx (Must) Deep familiarity with tax workflow processes used by mid‑market or large firms Experience across the full tax lifecycle: onboarding, document intake, preparation, review, delivery, and filing Ability to identify workflow gaps, inefficiencies, and edge cases Ability to provide structured, detailed feedback on system behavior Preferred / Plus CPA or EA license Experience working for more than one CPA firms Familiarity with evaluating other tax/audit/accounting automation will be a bonus #J-18808-Ljbffr Soraban
