Responsibilities

Depending on each clients individualized care plan you may:

• Assist with bathing dressing grooming toileting eating and other personal care needs

• Support safe walking and transfers according to the care plan and your training

• Assist clients with walkers wheelchairs and other mobility equipment

• Provide companionship conversation and social engagement

• Prepare meals and help with light housekeeping laundry and organization

• Offer medication reminders; this role does not include medication administration

• Observe and report changes in client condition appearance or behavior

• Use our mobile app to clock in and out communicate with the office and document care

• Follow infection prevention practices safety procedures and agency policies

• Maintain client dignity confidentiality and professional conduct

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• At least two years of paid caregiving experience in a home care setting or a similar paid caregiving role required
  
  
• Reliable transportation valid drivers license and proof of auto insurance

• Current CPR certification and TB test required before a client assignment

• Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling communication and documentation

• Dependable attendance clear communication and a compassionate professional approach

Schedule and Work Location

This is an hourly non-exempt position providing care in clients homes in Hammond and nearby communities.

Schedules and hours depend on client needs your qualifications and your availability.
