Senior Manager, E Commerce Architecture

Sequoia Applied Technologies is hiring a Senior Manager of E Commerce Architecture for a client engagement. This is a contract position supporting a large scale commerce platform. This role requires hands on architecture leadership and deep commercetools expertise. Commercetools experience is mandatory. please don't apply if you don't have commercetools experience at a architect level. Contract position through Sequoia Applied Technologies Client: Confidential Location: US Remote Start: Immediate Contract type: 1099 or W2 (no C2C) What you will do Own end to end architecture for a commercetools based commerce platform Design and optimize commercetools data models, custom types, API extensions, and subscription workflows Build multi store, multi brand solutions across B2B and B2C Lead checkout, cart, and order customizations for complex enterprise workflows Define headless frontend and API strategy using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and commercetools GraphQL and REST APIs Design scalable Java and Spring Boot microservices and event driven integrations using commercetools Subscriptions with Azure Service Bus, Kafka, or Solace Drive CI CD, infrastructure as code with Terraform on Azure, observability, and security practices aligned to HIPAA expectations Mentor and guide senior engineers and architects across the program What we are looking for Commercetools experience is mandatory 8 plus years in software architecture and engineering 6 plus years hands on with commercetools, including core platform customization and integrations 5 plus years leading technical teams or technical programs Strong Java with Spring Boot, plus React, Next.js, TypeScript Azure experience preferred, including AKS and eventing patterns Tech environment commercetools, Java 21, Spring Boot 3.x, React 18, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, Azure AKS and Service Bus, Terraform, plus enterprise integrations like SAP, Oracle ERP, Salesforce, OMS and PIM #J-18808-Ljbffr Sequoia Applied Technologies
