Job Description

The Business Analysis team supports the organization's strategic initiatives and project portfolio by partnering with business leaders to translate Wings' strategic priorities into actionable, well-defined solutions that deliver measurable business value. Working collaboratively with business stakeholders, portfolio management, and project delivery teams, the Business Analyst is responsible for eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating business requirements, as well as developing comprehensive functional and technical specifications that support successful project planning, execution, and implementation.

Essential Functions

• Business Analysis & Requirements Management:
  • Act as a liaison between business units and project teams to elicit, analyze, document, and validate business needs, scope, and requirements.
  • Support initiative discovery and planning by defining problem statements, scope boundaries, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and expected business value.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and stakeholder interviews to identify business, functional, non-functional, and reporting requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable functional and technical specifications that guide solution design and delivery.
  • Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment between business objectives, solution design, and delivered outcomes.
• Solution Design & Delivery Support:
  • Collaborate with Business Leads, Business Process Designers, Data Analysts, Architects, Developers, vendors, and other stakeholders to analyze requirements and support solution design.
  • Leverage knowledge of business processes and technology applications to evaluate solution options and recommend approaches that meet business objectives.
  • Partner with project delivery teams to develop and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and other project artifacts within approved collaboration tools.
  • Support user acceptance testing by working with quality assurance and business stakeholders to define, review, and validate acceptance criteria.
• Process Improvement & Planning:
  • Partner with business process teams to document and maintain current-state and future-state process models that support operational improvements and strategic goals.
  • Estimate business area resource needs and support project intake, prioritization, and capacity planning activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes, efficiency, member experience, and organizational effectiveness.

• Scope Management & Stakeholder Partnership:
  • Assess proposed requirement and scope changes for business impact, feasibility, risk, and value while supporting disciplined scope management practices.
  • Partner with Project Managers and business stakeholders to monitor project scope, requirements, timelines, issues, and dependencies.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the business.
• Continuous improvement: Identify and recommend process, system, and operational improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce risk, improve member experience, and support strategic objectives.
• Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Wings policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, or related field, preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in business analysis, requirements management, process improvement, project delivery, or related experience, required.
• Experience working on cross-functional projects involving business and technology stakeholders,  required.
• Financial services, banking, or credit union experience, preferred.

Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

• Working knowledge of business analysis concepts, tools, and techniques.
• Proven ability to practice a variety of techniques to ensure complete requirements.
• Working knowledge of computer software (i.e. Windows, Microsoft Office products including Visio, Excel and Outlook, Projects)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements.
• Excellent ability to organize information, manage tasks and projects and use available tools to effectively contribute to organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills with experience building effective, collaborative relationships with all organizational levels of business and technical staff.
• Ability to gain consensus on issue resolution with multiple parties.
• Able to adapt and respond well to changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Additional Information

PAY RANGE: $92,000 to 107,000 Annually (S16), plus 15% annual target bonus.
Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications, location and internal pay equity.
