Overview
We’re partnered with a well-established industrial manufacturing company with multiple facilities across North America. This site is looking to bring on an HSE Specialist to support and strengthen safety and environmental programs at the plant level.

Position Summary
This is a hands-on, plant-facing role reporting into site leadership, with support from a corporate HSE team. The focus is on driving safety culture, ensuring environmental compliance, and supporting day-to-day HSE initiatives across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and implement site health, safety, and environmental programs
• Drive continuous improvement in safety performance and compliance
• Ensure adherence to all HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Manage workers’ compensation, safety training (CPR/first aid, fit testing, etc.), and related programs
• Maintain environmental permits and handle required reporting and submissions
• Lead safety meetings, support safety committees, and conduct routine plant walkthroughs
• Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
• Maintain OSHA logs and required safety documentation
• Act as a key partner to plant leadership on all HSE-related matters

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field
• 1–3+ years of experience in a health & safety role (industrial/manufacturing preferred)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across all levels of the organization
• Comfortable working on the plant floor and in a hands-on environment
• Ability to work flexible hours, be on-call as needed, and travel occasionally
