As a Housekeeping Manager at Showboat Hotel & Island Waterpark, your day-to-day will be an exciting blend of leadership, organization, and hands-on involvement. You'll start each day by inspecting guest rooms and public areas to maintain our high cleanliness standards. Collaborating with your team, you'll assign tasks, ensure supplies are stocked, and train new staff members on proper housekeeping techniques. Your schedule will be flexible, which means you can expect to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, making it the perfect fit for those who enjoy a dynamic work environment.
You'll also spend time interacting with guests, addressing their needs and feedback, ensuring they have the best experience possible. With every day presenting new challenges, you'll keep the energy high and the atmosphere welcoming!
To thrive as a Housekeeping Manager at Showboat Hotel & Island Waterpark, you'll need a vibrant mix of skills to keep our operations running smoothly. Strong leadership abilities are essential, as you'll be guiding a diverse team towards high performance and exceptional guest satisfaction. Exceptional organization and problem-solving skills will help you navigate daily challenges effectively. Proficiency in hotel property management systems like Opera PMS and housekeeping software such as HotSOS is crucial for managing tasks efficiently. You'll also be responsible for budgeting, scheduling, and payroll management, so a solid understanding of inventory control and ordering is key.
Familiarity with cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemical safety ensures a safe environment for both staff and guests. Moreover, knowledge of hospitality service standards will elevate the guest experience, while proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) will aid in reporting and communication. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, and being bilingual in Spanish/English is preferred for broader engagement with our guests and team!
