General Manager

Radio One Communications is looking for an experienced, commercially focused General Manager to lead our Orlando operation and drive continued growth and profitability. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a senior leadership role with full P&L responsibility for the Orlando business. The successful candidate will lead the complete operation, including sales, engineering, field operations, Rentals, BDA and service, while also taking direct responsibility for sales leadership and performance. We are looking for a hands‑on leader who can combine strategic thinking with strong commercial execution — someone who can grow the business, develop people, build customer relationships and deliver measurable results. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Take full ownership of the business P&L, including revenue, Gross Margin, operating expenses, profitability, budgeting, forecasting and cash performance. Develop and execute annual business plans and longer‑term growth strategies. Lead and develop a high‑performing sales team, with clear accountability for bookings, Gross Margin and pipeline growth. Conduct regular pipeline and forecast reviews and ensure strong CRM discipline and sales accountability. Work directly with key customers and salespeople to develop and close significant opportunities. Build and strengthen relationships with major customers, Motorola, contractors, developers, property owners, suppliers and industry partners. Drive growth across product and systems sales, BDA, Rentals and service. Identify new markets, customers, technologies and strategic opportunities. Review pricing and commercial proposals to protect margins and ensure profitable growth. Work closely with engineering, operations and service to ensure projects and customer commitments are delivered safely, professionally and profitably. Improve operating performance and create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Recruit, coach and develop employees while building a strong, collaborative leadership team. Maintain a strong focus on health, safety and environmental performance. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of leadership experience in telecommunications, wireless communications, technology or a related industry, with a demonstrated history of growing a business and leading successful sales teams. You will bring: Proven P&L and financial management experience. A strong track record of profitable revenue and Gross Margin growth. Experience leading, coaching and developing sales professionals. Strong business planning, budgeting and forecasting skills. Excellent commercial judgment, including pricing, margin and risk management. The ability to build long‑term customer and industry relationships. Strong communication, negotiation and leadership skills. A results‑driven, accountable and hands‑on approach. The ability to balance strategic planning with day‑to‑day business leadership. Experience with two‑way radio, public safety communications, BDA/DAS, wireless infrastructure, Motorola products, Rentals or related communications technologies would be highly desirable.
