What You’ll Do Advise clients on estate planning, trust administration, probate, and related matters Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents Manage and grow a portfolio of client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on complex and sensitive matters Supervise, mentor, and support the professional development of associates and support staff Exercise sound judgment on when to escape, consult, or bring in outside expertise Collaborate with firm leadership on practice development and business growth What We’re Looking For At least 5 years of substantive experience practicing trusts and estates law A strong working knowledge of estate planning and probate, paired with the intellectual honesty to recognize the limits of that knowledge — comfortable saying "I don't know, let me find out" rather than guessing Demonstrated ability to build and manage client relationships , with the interpersonal skill to navigate emotionally sensitive family and financial matters Experience supervising or mentoring other attorneys or staff Excellent written and verbal communication skills Active license to practice law in Oregon (or eligibility for prompt admission) Based in, or willing to relocate to, the Portland metro area Preference given to candidates also licensed in California or Washington What Sets a Great Candidate Apart A collaborative mindset suited to a small firm environment, where flexibility and shared ownership of outcomes matter Genuine interest in long-term client relationships rather than transactional work A track record of developing junior talent What We Offer Competitive salary, commensurate with experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan with employer match, PTO A collegial, low-bureaucracy environment with real influence over how the practice is run Relocation assistance if appropriate #J-18808-Ljbffr KILBERG LAW LLC
