Job Opportunity At Hospital For Special Surgery Work Shift: Not specified Compensation Range: The base pay scale for this position is $33.00 - $33.00. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. Job Responsibilities Assist with contracts: Assist with negotiating physician managed care contracts, analytics, and financial modeling. Uphold standards and expectations of HSS staff – coordinate enrollment and physician enrollment in managed care plans. Ensure compliance of managed care companies with negotiated contracts. Follow up and resolve payment issues with insurance payors. Act as a liaison between physician offices and insurance payors. Assist with meetings: schedule, coordinate, and document all PHO related meetings. Maintain documentation and management information: maintain tracking logs for insurance payor issues and ensure accountability for closing out items. Oversee PHO line: oversee PHO phone line, answer and respond to inquiries, and assist with urgent physician office issues. Maintain satisfactory attendance record. Report for duty punctually. Adjust to changing situations and work assignments. Qualifications Years of Experience Required: Basic computer skills, multitasking, attention to detail, telephone skills. Years of Experience Preferred: 1 year, bilingual, medical terminology. Physical Working Conditions: Standing or sitting in the same location; may require to stoop, climb or lift light material (10 lbs. or less) or equipment. Environmental Working Conditions: Comfortable indoor area. Hazards: OSHA Category 3 tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, or other potentially infectious materials; Category 1 tasks are not a condition of employment. Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.), may include specialized or vocational courses. Education Preferred: Business school or college.
