Controller

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $140,000 to $170,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting and finance functions, including reporting, treasury activity, and banking relationships.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in alignment with established accounting standards.
• Maintain effective controls over assets, liabilities, income, and disbursements to protect company resources.
• Manage cash flow, credit arrangements, and weekly financial reporting to support operational needs.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activity and oversee financial matters related to international operations.

• Ability to manage general ledger activity, payables, receivables, payroll, and financial close processes.
• Strong understanding of tax obligations and regulatory compliance at the local, state, and federal levels.
• Prior experience administering benefit plans and ensuring proper handling of related contributions.
• Skill in maintaining banking relationships and monitoring compliance with financial covenants.
• Commitment to confidentiality, ethical practices, and identifying issues related to product safety or compliance.

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting principles and internal control frameworks.
• Previous experience supporting audit processes and working with external advisors across functions or regions.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and collaborate effectively with leadership teams.
