Registered Nurse - High Risk Obstetrics

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our High Risk Obstetrics unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in high acuity environments and have significant experience in maternal care. This position requires a focus on both patient delivery and newborn care, functioning in a fast-paced, high-volume labor and delivery setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the Labor and Delivery unit focusing on high risk pregnancies.
• Assist in the delivery process, including performing newborn assessments and administering necessary medications.
• Function as a Baby Nurse during deliveries and provide postpartum care as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and comfort during high-risk procedures.
• Float to sister facilities as needed to support maternal care services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in high acuity and high pace environments; 5 years preferred.
• Active RN license with compact licensing recognized across states.
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP are required; ACLS and AWHONN certifications preferred.
• Experience with electronic fetal monitoring and EPIC charting systems.
