RN/ LPN (Cheektowaga)

Job Summary The RN/LPN (Cheektowaga) will deliver nursing care under the supervision of the Medical Provider. This position is responsible for providing direction to Medical Assistants and/or Licensed Practical Nurses and performing various nursing duties to support patient care. Duties And Responsibilities Provide direction and guidance to Medical Assistants and/or Licensed Practical Nurses. Triage patient phone calls and patient visits. Provide case management for patients. Deliver care to patients requiring nurse-only visits. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment. Perform supportive duties to maintain efficient patient flow. Prepare rooms and assist Medical Providers with examinations and procedures. Perform routine diagnostic tests. Collect and process specimens. Prepare and administer medications as directed by the healthcare provider. Review lab results and report abnormal findings to the providers. Maintain supplies for patient rooms. Participate in quality improvement activities. Communicate effectively with patients and staff. Maintain a professional manner in interacting with patients and staff. Maintain the integrity of the medical record. Document activities in appropriate logs. Provide patient education. Physical Demands This role requires periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping. Evening work may be required. Minimum Qualifications Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York. Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. One year of experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting. Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Preferred Qualifications Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Three years of experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting. Experience with an Electronic Medical Record System. Pay Range RN: $31.61 - $38.15/hr. LPN: $21.91 - $26.45/hr. Union Affiliation This position is affiliated with 1199 SEIU. #J-18808-Ljbffr
