Job Type: Contract to Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM Pay: $35-$40hr Position Overview We are seeking a Material Planner to support the planning and scheduling of customer repairs while ensuring materials, purchasing, and deliveries stay on track. This role works closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Sales, Operations, suppliers, and customers to meet customer requirements and deadlines. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed repair quotations for customer equipment.
- Review inventory and determine expected delivery times.
- Review customer orders for pricing, delivery dates, shipping/billing information, and specifications.
- Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding order status and expedite requests.
- Request supplier quotes and initiate purchase orders.
- Manage incoming and outgoing invoices.
- Coordinate with suppliers on delivery dates, information, and reconciliation.
- Assist with warehouse activities, including receiving, inspection, packaging, and shipping.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in material planning, manufacturing, industrial engineering, or a similar environment.
- Material Requirements Planning (MRP) experience required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, SharePoint, and Project.
- Ability to effectively plan material availability and production capacity in a complex environment.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and follow tasks through to completion.
- SAP experience is preferred but not required.
