Materials Planner (1st shift)

Location: 100% on-site, Vernon, CA 90058
Work Schedule : Mon to Fri / 1st Shift: 7 am to 4:30 pm
Pay rate: Up to 37$/h
Contract: W2 under staffing supplier; with a 6-month duration (temp to hire)

Summary: The Material Planner manages the full lifecycle of equipment repair orders, from quoting and material planning to scheduling and vendor coordination.

Requirements

• Education & Experience: HS diploma/GED (or higher) AND 3–5 years in industrial engineering or manufacturing environments.

• Systems & Tools: Proficient in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus.

• Core Competencies: Strong capacity and material planning skills with a high level of accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Quoting & Order Management: Generate detailed repair quotes, verify order details (specs, pricing, shipping/billing), and manage incoming and outgoing invoices.

• Planning & Scheduling: Check inventory, determine delivery timelines, schedule with suppliers, and issue purchase orders.

• Cross-Functional Communication: Liaise with engineering, sales, operations, and external clients to provide status updates and expedite orders.

• Operational Support: Assist with warehouse tasks (goods receipt, inspection, packing, shipping) and other assigned duties.
