You will coordinate with contracts, purchasing, receiving, shipping, and production planners to remove bottlenecks and improve visibility. This role is primarily onsite in an office/warehouse environment, working a daytime shift (1st shift, 5x8 days).Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the TeamMaintain control of the sales/order backlog and act on order issues to ensure timely shipmentLiaise with contracts to load new sales orders and confirm lead-times and delivery notesPrioritize material handling from receipt through shipment based on schedule needsCoordinate purchasing and planning of materials to meet the production schedule; place and expedite purchase ordersReview and act on MRP order messages; generate work orders and issue purchase orders per MRPNegotiate deliveries and prices consistent with schedule requirementsIdentify potential late deliveries and create recovery plans; follow through on expedites and special requestsTranslate production plans into specific time schedules and monitor manufacturing processes to meet targetsHere's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This RoleBachelor's degree (required)2–4 years of planning experience and 5 years in production control/materials or inventory management in a defense or aerospace environmentProven MRP/ERP experience (past MRP/ERP experience is a must)Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skillsProficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and computerized MRP systemsStrong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact professionally with management, peers, suppliers, and customersAbility to interpret diagrams, graphs, and schedules and to apply sound judgment to solve problemsHere's What Else Might Help You OutKnowledge of JDE MRP systemSAP knowledgeGeneral knowledge of machine shop practices and processing standardsFamiliarity with military and commercial standardsPay Range$48.24 - $60.30/hourReady to Make Your Mark?This role may fill quickly.
