TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Chattanooga, Tennessee, 37404!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Telemetry Must-Have: - Cardiac/telemetry knowledge - EKG rhythm identification Description: ACLS is required. Will accept a 48-hour guarantee. The unit has 30 cardiac med-surg beds. Patient ratios are 1:6. Each shift is staffed with 6 nurses and a free charge nurse to assist. A unit secretary is available on dayshift, along with 3 patient care technicians (PCTs) per shift. Common cardiac medications include titrated drips for Cardizem and heparin, as well as non-titratable drips for dopamine, dobutamine, and amiodarone. Self-scheduling is utilized. Equipment includes GE telemetry and Rover, portable workstations on wheels (WOWs), and Welch-Allen vital signs machines. The documentation system is Meditech. Scheduling requirements are for three full 12-hour shifts, with 3-4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period. Floating policy includes rotation with other travel nurses. Patient experience requirements include NRC compliance. The unit has the highest scoring for inpatient med-surg employee satisfaction. There are 12 internal awards for employees and leaders within the department. New technology includes a 12-lead EKG present on the unit. Dress code requires navy blue scrubs. Shared governance is available at the unit and facility level.
