Restaurant Supervisor

Job Title: Restaurant Supervisor 

Department: Food and Beverage 

Supervisor: Food and Beverage Manager/Director/Restaurant Manager 

Summary 

The Restaurant Supervisor supports the daily operations of the hotel’s dining outlets by assisting restaurant management and guiding front-of-house staff to ensure smooth, efficient service and exceptional guest experiences. This role focuses on hands-on leadership, team support, while also maintaining brand and company service standards. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

• Supervise and coordinate daily operations in restaurants, bars, room service, or banquet areas. 
• Lead and motivate team members to deliver exceptional service. 
• Ensure compliance with brand, health, safety, and sanitation standards. 
• Assist with scheduling, training, and performance feedback for hourly staff. 
• Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally. 
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies. 
• Support special events, group functions, and VIP service as needed. 

Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversee, guide, and train all restaurant employees and report any achievements and/or deficiencies to the Restaurant Manager, Food and Beverage Manager, or Director. No direct discipline or management responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred; or two years related experience and/or training in a hotel or food service environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations 

Current Food Handler’s certificate or ServSafe certification is required. Current TABC (TX) or RVSP (LA) is required.
