Production Assembler - 2nd Shift

Amerex - 2nd Shift Production AssemblyThe Production Assembler will use a variety of hand and power tools and fixtures to correctly assemble various fire extinguisher parts and pack according to specifications. This position regularly works 4:30 P.M. - 3:00 A.M. Monday through Thursday. Mandatory overtime on Fridays will be required. Second shift receives a shift differential of $0.80/hr.Responsibilities include utilizing hand tools or machines to assemble parts, cleaning and maintaining work area and equipment, reading and deciphering schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions, maintaining a safe and clean working environment, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., demonstrating manual dexterity, comprehending and following blueprints, work instructions, EHS, and job procedures, JSA's, and applicable paperwork.Qualifications include being at least eighteen (18) years of age and eligible to work in the United States, passing a post offer drug test, background check, and fitness review, demonstrating high attention to detail and self-motivation skills, willingness to train, work, and rotate through all department work stations and work in other departments as needed, and capability of working in seasonal high temperatures and humidity (conditioned air environment).Working conditions may involve potential exposure to hazardous materials, environmental changes (heat/cold), and the employee must be able to work under stress occasioned by production requirements, personnel, and the needs of other departments, utilizing proper body mechanics. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.Physical requirements include frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 lbs., standing/walking and performing light physical labor uninterrupted for periods of up to three (3) hour intervals, frequently bending, stooping, pushing, and reaching during the shift, frequently standing, walking, climbing ladders, and reaching with hands and arms, specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, and occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance.
