Adhere to all Safety Policies, Procedures and Personal Protective Equipment standardsExamine damaged vehicles and estimate repair costsRepair damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications, using hand tools and power toolsRemove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window-and-seat-operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle body and fendersPosition dolly block against surface of dented area and beat opposite surface to remove dents, using hammerFill depressions with body filler, using putty knifeRemove damaged fenders, panels, and grills, using wrenches and cutting torchBolt or weld replacement parts in position, using wrenches or welding equipmentStraighten bent automobile frames, using a pneumatic frame straightening machineFile, grind and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand toolsRefinish repaired surface, using paint spray gun and sanderAim headlights, align wheels, and bleed hydraulic brake systemRepair or replace defective mechanical partsReplace door skins, quarter panels and other welded outer body panelsPaint surfaces after performing body repairsRepair plastic/composite panels and bumper coversMaintain a safe and clean workspace, as well as ensuring the entire facility is orderly, clean and free of hazardsValid driver's license in state of residence and good driving record. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Working knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles. Ability to interpret vendor catalogs. Two years of experience as a vehicle body repairer or apprentice or job related training.This is a physically demanding position. Will stand six to eight hours per shift. Will lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds.
