Registered Nurse ICU

$2611.20/week –

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a winter contract with options for 13 or 18 weeks. This role requires expertise in open heart procedures, critical care competencies, and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including those post-CABG, valve surgeries, Impella, and IABP support.
• Interpret telemetry strips, ventilator settings, and sedation levels to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including CRRT, EEG monitoring, hypothermia protocols, and prone positioning.
• Float within hospital units as needed, supporting high-risk respiratory or COVID-19 patient care, while maintaining clinical excellence.
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC and communicate changes effectively to healthcare team members.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Must hold a valid Ohio Registered Nurse license or equivalent compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years ICU RN experience with open heart surgery background.
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records and interpretation of EKG strips.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA.
• Ability to complete online EKG tele competency assessment prior to start.
