We’re looking for a Engineering Solutions Architect / Sales Engineer to design bespoke, outcome-based solutions for clients across our core industry verticals: Automation & Robotics, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Medical Device, Aerospace, and Chemical & Energy. This is a senior individual contributor role that sits at the intersection of technical solution design and revenue generation. You’ll run deep discovery, architect solutions that map directly to client business outcomes, build the ROI case that gets deals across the line, and stay engaged through complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles. This isn’t a role for someone who wants to hand off a spec sheet and walk away. You’re accountable for the technical credibility of the deal and for the business outcome the client is buying. What You’ll Do Discovery & Solution Design Lead extensive discovery engagements with prospective and existing clients to uncover operational, technical, and business challenges Translate discovery findings into customized, deliverable-based solutions Partner with delivery and engineering teams to validate feasibility, scope, and staffing before commitments are made to the client Maintain deep technical credibility in at least one core vertical (Automation & Robotics, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Medical Device, Aerospace, or Chemical & Energy), with working fluency across the others Sales Engineering & Deal Support Serve as the technical thread throughout complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, from first discovery call through contract signature Build and present business cases that quantify ROI, cost avoidance, and operational impact for buyer and economic buyer audiences Partner directly with Sales/BD to shape deal strategy, pricing structure, and solution scope Own the technical win: respond to RFPs/RFIs, lead technical presentations, and address objections in real time Directly contribute to closing business , this role is measured on influenced and closed revenue, not just deals supported Cross-Functional Partnership Hand off closed deals cleanly to delivery teams with full context (scope, assumptions, client stakeholders, success criteria) Feed field intelligence (win/loss patterns, competitive positioning, recurring client pain points) back into solution and pricing strategy Act as a credible technical voice in executive-level client conversations What You Bring Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline) or equivalent hands-on technical experience 7+ years in a solutions architecture, sales engineering, or technical pre-sales role, ideally in a services or solutions-selling environment (not pure product SaaS) Deep, demonstrable experience in at least one of: Automation & Robotics, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Medical Device, Aerospace, or Chemical & Energy Proven track record running discovery-led sales processes and directly contributing to closed revenue Experience building business cases and ROI models that hold up under CFO/procurement scrutiny Comfort operating in long, complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders (technical buyer, economic buyer, end user) Strong presentation and executive communication skills. Can flex between engineer-to-engineer detail and boardroom-level framing Preferred Experience across two or more of the listed verticals Background in SOW-based or outcome-based deal structures Familiarity with CRM and deal desk tooling (HubSpot preferred) for pipeline and forecasting visibility How Success Is Measured Influenced/sourced revenue and win rate on deals where you led technical discovery Quality and accuracy of solution designs (low rework/scope creep post-close) Business case adoption rate (how often your ROI models are used by the buyer internally to justify the deal) Clean handoff rate to delivery (measured by delivery team feedback) Base pay range for this position is $120,075 – $160,100 per year. Final annual compensation will be based on experience and may vary by geographic location.
