- We have an immediate need for a Senior Java/API Technical Lead contractor to accelerate performance improvements and capability enhancements for our OASIS enterprise content API platform.
- We need someone who can quickly get hands-on with the existing Java codebase, identify performance bottlenecks, recommend architectural improvements, and lead implementation alongside the current team.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in:
Java | Spring Boot | REST APIs | Microservices | JVM Performance | SQL/JDBC | Connection Pooling | Caching | Rate Limiting | API Security | Performance Testing | Observability | CI/CD
- Enterprise Content Management / IBM FileNet experience is a strong plus , particularly experience with FileNet Content Engine Java APIs, metadata, document classes, security, and large-volume document processing.
- This should be a technical and hands-on lead role , not primarily a project-management or coordination role.
- Please prioritize candidates with demonstrated experience improving the performance and scalability of high-volume enterprise Java APIs and share the best-fit profiles.
We would also prefer candidates with practical experience using enterprise-approved AI-enabled IDEs/coding assistants to accelerate code analysis, development, refactoring, testing, debugging and technical documentation. We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate measurable engineering value from AI-assisted development while maintaining appropriate security, code-review and governance standards.
