JOB OVERVIEW

Provide, promote, and maintain quality patient care in an intensive care unit (ICU) through adherence to clinical standards, professional development, and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers patient-centered care in a high-acuity environment, supporting critical care interventions and ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Initiate and document a comprehensive plan of care within established timeframes
Perform patient interventions proficiently and demonstrate age-specific competency
Verify accuracy of physician orders, including medication reconciliation and scheduling of procedures
Ensure completion of pre-operative documentation and consent forms
Administer medications in accordance with IV therapy and safety protocols
Monitor patients for adverse reactions, especially with first-dose medications
Interpret diagnostic data and report critical values per protocol
Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care
Perform additional duties as required

REQUIREMENTS

Associate s degree in Nursing
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact or South Carolina)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (within 7 days of hire)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (within orientation)
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (within orientation)
Previous clinical experience considered based on individual background
