Direct Support Professional (DSP) for Personal Support

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Personal Support Services. In this role, you will support individuals in developing essential life skills, achieving personal goals and engaging with their communities in a structured and person-centered manner. Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, organizing, laundry, dishwashing, and maintaining a tidy living environment. Provide reminders and assistance with scheduling and attending all medical appointments, including transportation and post-appointment follow-up. Provide transportation to and from appointments and recreational and social activities, ensuring the individual arrives on time. Support individuals in developing communication, self-advocacy, employment readiness, and independent living skills. Encourage and assist with volunteering, social groups, and recreational activities. Implement individualized service plans (ISPs) to help individuals reach their goals. Provide transportation to and from community activities and medical appointments as needed. Ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of all individuals supported. Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes. Requirements High school diploma or GED. At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check and meet pre-employment requirements. CPR/First Aid certification, CMT, DDA, and Mandt training. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be patient, reliable, and passionate about making a difference. Why Join Us?
