Fox Den Country Club in Knoxville, TN, is searching for an energetic and outgoing Bar Manager to join our Food & Beverage team. What You’ll DoAs our Bar Manager, you’ll take on a hands-on leadership role, overseeing the bar and service team while actively contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of Fox Den. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supervising bartenders and servers, fostering a positive and fun team environment.
- Bartending in Ginty’s and delivering outstanding service to members and guests.
- Training and coaching staff on service standards, drink recipes, alcohol policies, and hospitality excellence.
- Managing weekly beer, wine, and liquor orders, as well as conducting monthly bar inventory.
- Developing creative drink specials, cocktail features, and bar promotions.
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of our wine and beverage programs.
- Ensuring the bar’s cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking while maintaining equipment.
- Monitoring responsible alcohol service and ensuring compliance with ABC and Club policies.
- Supporting banquets, club events, Sunday Brunch, and other Food & Beverage operations.
- Serving as Manager on Duty when scheduled.
- Coordinating between the kitchen and service team for smooth operations.
- Handling member and guest concerns with professionalism and a hospitality-first approach.
- Leading pre-shift meetings to keep the team informed and engaged.
- Jumping in wherever needed to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all.
We’re seeking a natural leader with a passion for hospitality and a knack for creating unforgettable experiences. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- At least 1 year of bar or restaurant management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, and beverage service.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable, organized, and confident in taking the lead.
- Experience with POS systems.
- Current ABC Liquor License required.
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
