Role Description The Music Therapist is a part-time, contract role for 10 hours per week serving at 2 of our Dallas locations. This role includes planning and delivering individual and group music therapy sessions for children, including those with special needs and developmental disabilities, in clinical and community settings. The Music Therapist will assess client needs, develop and document treatment plans, track progress toward therapeutic goals, and collaborate with caregivers and interdisciplinary teams. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, participating in program evaluation, and contributing to outreach or training activities as needed. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Music Therapy and therapeutic use of music to support emotional, social, and cognitive goals. Experience designing and implementing treatment plans that address mental health needs in pediatric populations. Ability to work effectively with children with developmental disabilities and diverse special needs in individual and group settings. Relevant certification or eligibility for certification in Music Therapy (e.g., MT-BC) and compliance with professional ethical standards. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Music Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills, including the ability to work with families, caregivers, and clinical partners. Basic technology skills for charting and reliable transportation within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Prior experience in nonprofit, pediatric healthcare, or community-based therapy settings is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
