Journeyman Plumber

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Plumber / HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in residential and/or commercial Plumbing and HVAC systems, a strong work ethic, and the ability to provide high-quality service to our customers. You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems while ensuring all work meets local codes and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment (water, gas, drainage, and waste systems).
• Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini splits, ventilation systems, and related equipment.
• Diagnose plumbing and HVAC issues, troubleshoot problems, and recommend effective solutions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with state and local plumbing, mechanical, and building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with contractors, builders, and other trades when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on jobs.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients.
• Train or guide apprentices when needed.
• Perform routine maintenance inspections and identify preventative maintenance needs for plumbing and HVAC systems.

Qualifications:

• Valid Journeyman Plumber license (required).
• HVAC certification and/or relevant HVAC experience (required).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the plumbing trade.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems, tools, and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Physical ability to perform plumbing and HVAC tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Skills:

• Gas piping experience.
• Remodel experience.
• EPA Certification preferred.
• Prior experience in both residential and commercial settings.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with system diagnostics, controls, and preventative maintenance.
