Senior Manager, Ad Sales Finance

About the Role Red Seat Ventures partners with the world’s top creators across multiple genres to grow and monetize their content—through advertising, subscription, live events, and more. The Ad Sales Finance Senior Manager serves as the critical bridge between the company’s financial objectives and sales force execution, partnering with Sales, Finance, Revenue Operations, HR, and Executive Leadership. Responsibilities Budgeting/Forecasting : Prepare forecast models for advertising sales channels, update with actuals, revise forecasts for monthly/quarterly/annual budgets, and work closely with sales groups to gather forecasting inputs and assumptions. Metrics Reporting & Variance Analysis : Prepare metrics reporting and variance analysis/commentary for executive reporting packages; provide variance analysis and metrics for network finance teams. Monthly Close : Accrual and billings alignment with Ad Ops; extract data from traffic systems; G/L reconciliation of ad revenue accounts; prepare monthly metrics reporting and detailed variance analysis; monitor key metrics such as pricing, sell‑out, and yield. Compensation Management : Manage compensation processes through manual and automated incentive compensation platforms; align individual seller goals with revenue targets and budgets; forecast attainment, commission expense, and incentive program ROI; evaluate incentive effectiveness; deliver actionable recommendations; forecast commission expense and variable compensation costs with FP&A; model financial impact of compensation changes and new revenue initiatives; ensure programs remain financially sustainable while maintaining market competitiveness. Qualifications 7+ years of experience in Revenue Operations, Ad Sales Finance, FP&A, Sales Operations, Sales Compensation, or related analytical functions. Experience supporting advertising sales organizations in media, digital publishing, podcast networks, broadcast, streaming, or ad‑tech businesses. Strong understanding of commission structures, incentive compensation design, quota management, and sales performance measurement. Experience administering compensation platforms such as Xactly Incent, CaptivateIQ, Spiff, Varicent, or similar. Advanced proficiency in Salesforce, Excel, financial modeling, and business analytics. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, data visualization, and communication skills. Experience in podcasting, digital audio, creator economy, media, or advertising businesses. Background in Ad Sales Finance, Revenue Finance, FP&A, or Commercial Finance. Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar. Familiarity with media revenue models including sponsorships, host‑read advertising, branded content, video, and integrated partnerships. Benefits & Salary Salary range: $128,000.00–$179,000.00 annually, dependent on education, skills, experience, and location.
