Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift
Location: Hartford, CT
Pay: $70,000–$80,000 per year
Shift: 2nd Shift: 3 PM - 11 PM
Job Type: Full-Time
Position SummaryA manufacturing company in Hartford, CT is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead 2nd shift operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will oversee production employees, ensure daily schedules and quality standards are met, and maintain a safe, efficient, and productive shop floor.
Responsibilities- Supervise, train, and support production employees on 2nd shift.
- Coordinate daily production activities to meet schedules, quality requirements, and productivity goals.
- Monitor workflow, staffing, equipment, and material availability to minimize downtime and production delays.
- Enforce company safety policies and manufacturing procedures.
- Review production performance and address issues affecting quality, efficiency, or delivery.
- Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and other departments to resolve production issues.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and employee documentation.
- Coach employees on performance, attendance, safety, and adherence to company procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and overall shop-floor efficiency.
- 3+ years of manufacturing or production supervisory experience.
- Experience leading a team in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, scheduling, and workflow.
- Ability to read and understand production documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work 2nd shift and effectively manage a team independently.
- Experience in a regulated or industrial manufacturing environment is a plus.
$70,000–$80,000 annually , based on experience.
