Job Title: Credit Representative

Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
Location: Conover, NC
Pay: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Credit Representative to join a leading fabric manufacturing and distribution company in Conover, NC. This position is responsible for managing customer credit accounts, monitoring outstanding balances, evaluating creditworthiness, and ensuring timely collections while maintaining positive customer relationships. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, account management, and credit operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer credit accounts and maintain accurate account records
• Review and evaluate new customer credit applications and supporting documentation
• Monitor customer payment history and outstanding balances
• Contact customers regarding past-due accounts and negotiate payment arrangements when necessary
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies promptly
• Prepare aging reports and assist with collection efforts to reduce delinquent accounts
• Process account adjustments, credit memos, and payment postings
• Work closely with the sales, customer service, and accounting teams to resolve account issues
• Maintain accurate documentation of customer communications and account activity
• Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures
• Assist with month-end reporting and additional accounting projects as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, credit, collections, or account management
• Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable and credit management processes
• Experience reconciling customer accounts and resolving payment discrepancies
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling financial information
• High School Diploma or GED required

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Experience with ERP or accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar systems
• Previous experience in manufacturing, textile, or distribution environments
• Knowledge of credit reporting, collections, and financial statement review
• Experience with customer account analysis and credit risk assessment
