MUST have PTech license in the state you reside in

Must be flexile to weekday and weekend shifts

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for evaluating prior authorization requests received via portal, fax and mail using client clinical criteria.

Key responsibilities include reviewing medication requests, communicating coverage decisions, documenting outcomes, researching, and resolving inquiries, and escalating cases requiring extensive clinical review to a pharmacist.

For technicians assigned to the fax queue, responsibilities also include reviewing coverage determinations, processing faxed requests within SLA requirements, monitoring multiple work queues, and adapting to changing business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED

Active Pharmacy Technician license/registration (CPT/ExCPT/LPT/PTCB/RPT)

1-2 years of prior authorization experience

This is a Contract position based out of Sacramento, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
