Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 07:00 - 17:30 Experience: Minimum 2 years, with experience in multiple specialties including ORTHO, THORACIC, VASCULAR, and ROBOTICS License: Not specified Certifications: NBSTSA and BLS required Must-Have: Robotics/Vascular/Thoracics experience Description: MUST HAVE ROBOTICS/VASCULAR/THORACICS EXPERIENCE. Schedule requirements include no guaranteed block scheduling. Candidate may need to take 2-3 calls within a 6-week matrix. A 30-minute call back response is required. 3-4 weekend shifts may be required within a 6-week matrix. Weekends could include day, evening, or night shifts. Holidays are required per department needs. Holidays could also include day, evening, or night shifts. Candidates must be certified by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST). Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine clinical fit. If the clinical review is positive and meets guidelines, the candidate will be sent for a final decision. Clinical screens will occur on a case-by-case basis. Manager will conduct interviews. Experience required includes 2 years in multi-specialties focused on ORTHO, THORACIC, VASCULAR, and ROBOTICS. EMR experience with EPIC is required. First-time travelers are not accepted. Level I Trauma experience is required. Maximum time off allowed is 7 days. 3-4 weekend shifts within a 6-week matrix are mandatory. Weekend shifts could be day, evening, or night. Call requirements include 2-3 calls within a 6-week matrix. Candidates should be prepared for a 30-minute call back response. Holidays are as needed based on department requirements. A blocked schedule is not approved. Floating may be necessary, and candidates may float to sterile processing. Candidates could care for COVID patients. The facility is tobacco and fragrance-free. Candidates should notify the agency of any relevant notifications prior to submission. Required skills include various surgical procedures and techniques relevant to surgical settings. Proficiency in handling surgical equipment and ensuring compliance with safety protocols is essential. This role involves working with a diverse patient population across all age groups.
